1. Support the Jumping Frog Research Institute
While membership in Jumping Frog Research Institute is free, we do accept unsolicited contributions from the public to further our mission of securing a future for the native amphibians of the Sierra Nevada.

Because we are not a 501c3 non-profit organization, your contribution is not tax-deductible. You only get the benefit of knowing that 100% of your donation goes to support our work, all of which has been accomplished to date on a tadpole-sized budget. So if you like what we do, and have the means to support us financially, please send your contributions (checks only, made out to the Jumping Frog Research Institute) to:

Jumping Frog Research Institute
PO Box 1416
Angels Camp, CA 95222

Please contact us by e-mail (jumpingfrog@earthlink.net) if you wish to become a member. And never feel guilty if you can't send a contribution. Just do what you can to educate others, respond to our Action Alerts, etc -- all of which you get by becoming a JFRI member.

Thank you for doing whatever you can to help us.

FAVORITES
Here are some great links to explore:

Froguts
Dissect a virtual frog on this excellent site, which uses animations to explore amphibian anatomy and physiology in an interactive and very educational manner -- it's also heck o' fun! Richard Hill, the creator of this site, is a graduate student who wanted to provide low-income schools with an inexpensive biology "lab," and also help reduce the number of frogs "sacrificed" for science.

DAPTF
The mission of the Declining Amphibian Population Task Force (DAPTF) is to determine the nature, extent and causes of declines of amphibians throughout the world, and to promote means by which declines can be halted or reversed.

FWS
Many of you have inquired as to whether "Mark Twain's" (aka Taelen Thomas) testimony at the RLF public hearings held by the Feds in Dublin this past fall is available in transcript form. With his booming voice, Mr. Twain did indeed give an encore performance. Here is the transcript.

Amphibiaweb
An online system enabling anyone with a Web browser to quickly search and retrieve information relating to amphibian biology and conservation.
